Replacing the Backlight

Introduction

The following maintenance applies only to the XBT GT5000/6000/7000 series units.

There are no servicable parts inside the XBT GT1000/2000/4000 series, the

XBT GK series, or the XBT GH series.

The XBT GT5000/6000/7000 series units’ backlight can be replaced by the

customer. Please see the Instruction Sheet that comes with replacement backlights

for details on how to replace the backlight. Contact your local distributor for more

information.

If the unit's backlight burns out and the unit is not set to standby mode, the panel

remains active.

WARNING

BACKLIGHT AREA IS HOT

z Let the product cool down for 10 minutes before removing the backlight.

z Wear gloves to touch the inner components.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or

equipment damage.

EXPOSED ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS

z Remove power cords and disconnect all cables, including communication

cables, before opening the product.

z Do not open the product for any reason except backlight replacement.
